Term:
Search Engine Spiders in SEO
AKA: Robots, Crawlers
Definition: A search engine spider
is used to collect information from web pages as a

Search engine spiders are the principal means of gathering
information for search engines. Once a page has been seen by a search engine spider, it is said to have been "spidered."
Miscellaneous Information: Google’s
spider is known as Googlebot, MSN’s is MSN Bot,
and Yahoo’s is named Slurp.
