Graphic Optimization For Search Engines

Socius doesn't just optimize the text and links on a page, but the graphics as well. We take the time to place ALT tags (small pieces of code) on all graphics which describe what the graphic is to search engines.

Optimizing graphics is important to two reasons.

First, it comes down to relevance. For example, if you were to search for a Mercedes Benz 2007 S Class, a page that had a picture of that car plus text about that car is more relevant than a site with only text. The more relevant your page is, the better placement you will receive in search engine listings.

And Second, graphics that are optimized gain better placement in image searches, which depending on the industry can drive significant traffic.
